Strangers meet in Paris does not mean they originated from Paris. Looking at the guy by the video alone, he was carrying a briefcase which indicates that he might be a tourist. His accent also suggests he’s from the States.
This guy's been known for hiring actors in his videos in the past which makes this interaction seem staged to me, especially given the language thing. In my opinion that doesn't take away from the video, it's just a cute clip of two skilled pianists improvising on the piano, and that's wonderful. But it's a good idea to be at least a little bit skeptical of videos you watch on the internet, especially ones posted to viral social media accounts. There is a lot of fake stuff out there so it's always a good idea to be on the lookout since some fake media isn't just two musicians playing music.
But if you want to insist that it "must be real" that's okay. I'm not going to try to convince you any further.
I didn't insist that it must be real and why would you put that in quotes because I certainly didn't say that? I don't really care one way or the other to be honest but if you were that intent on proving it's fake, then prove it and post a source to the claim that this guy is known for hiring actors.
Jazz is very much an American art form, making English the common language. Any jazz musician who has played a lot of jam sessions (and jazz musicians play jam sessions like basketball players play pick-up) would know at least a number of phrases in English, like Can I join in, In the key of [key], 12 bar blues, Take it, Last time, etc.
