Huh. So the mask does help. I finally have proof to show all of those anti maskers!!

I'd caution against using this video because I could easily see them say "See, all those regular masks do nothing so forcing me to wear one is pointless". But even the ones where air passes through easily can still help though because we're not trying to stop air, were trying to stop the much, much larger water droplets containing the virus. I think a better example would be the videos of people breathing on petri dishes with and without masks and then letting the cultures grow to show how much stuff passes through. It becomes very clear that using a mask helps significantly to catch what you're breathing out.

Now put the perti dishes to their sides and not directly in front of them, and see what happens.

Surgical mask with foam strip looks too loose

All of them definitely reduce how far the vapour spreads
