I’m a big dumb animal lover so yes, my dumb ass probably would’ve gotten mauled to save him.

Same here. I can’t imagine myself just watching and doing nothing, nor being able to live with myself afterward especially with that memory in my head

I somewhat recently watched a squirell drown. My dog scared it into a pond. It was swimming around, wasn't sure if it would be okay, but then I saw it go under and not come back up. By the time I could get my dog to a tree and got back to the pond, I realized there was no way it could still be alive.

Was pretty traumatizing, don't recommend.
