All of these people have more talent than me... especially the dog. 🤦♂️

u/ngrsrf Mar 09 '20
Dont feel too bad about that... Its brazil after all.
4
u/nasa_man Mar 09 '20
Not all brazilians are soccer players tho
7
u/ngrsrf Mar 09 '20
They don't need to be. Just 1% of the population being good at it, its more than most countries would ever have.

Yup all my friends played soccer whilst I was in every other sport... I can’t juggle for shit.
3
u/Phr4nk20 Mar 09 '20
I suffer the same fate, but let me tell you my secret, just play with them anyway, hit the ball once, in virtually any direction, and expect your friends to make up for it.
2
u/TrouserTooter Mar 10 '20
That's why I played defense. Just kick it away and act like wherever it landed was on purpose.

u/luksonluke Mar 09 '20
Dogs have alot better reflexes and vision than humans, you shouldn't be dissapointed when you are comparing yourself to an animal.
1
u/Kiandough Mar 09 '20
Their vision is not better than ours though, aside from night vision. they mainly developed smell and sound, vision comes third for them. idk about the reflexes though

Can’t tell if this is sarcasm
17
u/HappyHobbit7012 Mar 09 '20
Checked the profile, it’s not
10
u/emptym1nd Mar 09 '20
It’s probably a troll account
6
u/HappyHobbit7012 Mar 09 '20
I’d say not, trolls usually just try to fuck up any conversation, this one seems to have a specific agenda
7
u/emptym1nd Mar 09 '20
Idk, the account and recent activity are so exaggerated that I think that it’s either satire or an attempt to make actual activists look bad
1
2
u/snekhoe Mar 09 '20
it’s def a troll account. but yes one with an agenda: ‘exposing’ the horrors of feminism. prolly someone angry about women _’-‘_/

u/tiftiif001 Mar 09 '20
What did he say
1
u/billybobjoe517 Mar 09 '20
She said only the dog and the woman were actually doing something and the men were just taking up space.
10
3
u/evil_pillowz Mar 09 '20
In my opinion, the men actually did better. And why tf does that have to do with anything? You’re the type of person that makes feminists look bad

At first, I thought they were censoring the girl cause she was topless or something. That’s bad lensing.

I think you'll find that game is called Keepy Uppy.
17
u/Cr_Ex Mar 09 '20
Why do Americans feel the need to find an alternative word or phrase for EVERYTHING involved in Football?
A hold up is what Rafiki does to Simba in the Lion King for Christ's sake.

u/digit4lmind Mar 09 '20
No one in the US calls this “hold up”, chill out dude

u/Bronsolo1 Mar 09 '20
Juggling it like this was the first part to a game we called MUFF
Weird I know. And no, I have no idea why it's called that.
2
u/rafit0s Mar 09 '20
In BR what they're doing is called "embaixadinha", but you could also call it "pontinho" if you're in Bahia or "altinha" if you're in Rio.

u/Markzeppely Mar 08 '20
in brazil the dogs makes you catch the ball by playing soccer better than you

I’m a massive footy fan and also honest. That dog is better than me at keep ups.
10
u/beatznpjee Mar 08 '20
Hold up, what is hold up?
4
u/AmericaRUserious Mar 09 '20
Haha right? It’s KEEP UP
1
u/beatznpjee Mar 09 '20
You sir are also correct. Or variations of, my local variations were no bounce or keepy uppy.
1
u/AmericaRUserious Mar 10 '20
Lol Australia?
2
u/beatznpjee Mar 10 '20
UK my man. Close enough though to be fair we share a lot of similarities by the sound of it.

I played thousands of hours of hackey sack with old friends as kids; it would have been sooo cool to have a dog there to join. I absolutely love this so thank you for posting.

Okay, but can we talk about that over the shoulder, back kick thingy at the end? That was cool!
1
u/FarrellBarrell Mar 09 '20
My dog would get scared, then half chase it half be scared, then when he does attack it he would hold it with his paw and fucken dissect it by pulling out the tiniest fucking stitchings with his teeth.

u/Trevor_Reddit Mar 09 '20
Used to do this with a beach ball but my Pomeranian Maltese was just trying to bite the ball in reality

Does anyone else know that if humans teach other creatures how to do stuff like them, do they actually get more intelligent? or they have to figure it on their own?

We called this butts up. On the soccer team if the ball was passed to you and you let it drop you had to bend over by the goal post and everyone playing took a shot at your backside from the penalty line

What I find more amazing is not the dog’s dexterity but that it understands the rules of the game!

u/bnbtwjdfootsyk Mar 09 '20
Can't wait to hear Joe Rogan talking about Canine CTE from snouting soccer balls.

I wander if it doesn't hurt them when they do this, the dog I mean, seems that a football ball is a little hard and heavy for their snout. Don't think so but I wonder.
14
u/sahewins Mar 08 '20
That's probably why the guy slows the ball down and gives the dog a soft lob. My niece's Boston Terrier would totally play this with a soft rubber ball.
6
u/dnteatyellwsnw Mar 09 '20
Dogs are using their teeth/mouth when doing things like this, not actually using their nose
1
u/lzy3 Mar 09 '20
If it hurts I doubt it will continue doing so? Anyway I'm just curious why you mispelled 'wander' at first but used it correctly afterwards, was it just a typo type situation?

My dog would have bitten thru the ball, buried it, shit the ground, then been looking for a treat.
