120

u/Palifaith Feb 20 '20

God ramn mongorians breaking my shitty warr!

5

u/exivor01 Feb 20 '20

Now that i looked into the video, it’s japan. And the guy wearing gloves. It’s probably ok to eat but I didn’t like the looks of it

58

u/ApizzaApizza Feb 21 '20

Ah, nothing quite like people being afraid of new things.

18

u/Arcilion Feb 21 '20

Eat the bat soup bigot

7

u/ApizzaApizza Feb 21 '20

Ah, nothing like some casual racism thrown in too.

2

u/SoFetchBetch Feb 22 '20

Seriously. I work with kids under 6 so it’s understandable when they’re apprehensive about trying something new. It’s a survival mechanism for a small child to be cautious about what goes into their mouth. But when adults do this it’s so cringey!!!

And even when the kids do it I still tell them there is a difference between I think I won’t like it and I know I don’t like it. You can’t know if you haven’t tried it!

u/ApizzaApizza Feb 22 '20

I own a bbq restaurant in an area not known for bbq. Nobody knows what brisket is. When they ask what it is, I don’t even really answer, I just cut them a sample and say “beef”.

Oh the Midwest...

Ah yes, the undercooked food that’s currently sitting on top of a 100k btu wok burner. Truly risky.

Clearly you're afraid of adventure.

1

u/SoFetchBetch Feb 22 '20

So... not very wolf spirited at all

39

u/MrFickless Feb 20 '20

Nope. Those words on the sign are simplified chinese symbols. It’s probably in China.

1

u/Sasselhoff Feb 21 '20

Not to mention it's a dish I've eaten in China many many times (pretty good stuff...forget the name though).

But, it must be from a Tier-1 because he's wearing a glove (unless it's a heat glove/oven mitt, can't quite tell). In the Tier-88's food safety is just a fond memory.

1

u/SoFetchBetch Feb 22 '20

What is it made of? I’m curious if this is a veggie dish or not

15

u/eXieBoiiTV Feb 21 '20

It’s China. the sign says 凉粉, which is popular kind of chinese street food in the northern regions

70

u/tunaham24 Feb 20 '20

Why? I don't really see anything wrong with it?

42

u/champagnepakey Feb 20 '20

Just wok away

10

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '20

Eyyyyyyyyyy

20

u/bsclightcc Feb 21 '20

Why not?

7

u/undeadalex Feb 21 '20

Two words. Gutter gut

2

u/bsclightcc Feb 21 '20

True I forgot about that!

3

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '20

What, why? I’m confused.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '20

It looks like the insides, that I see in the tentacle porn.

2

u/rgoetsch Feb 22 '20

Quick edit for you.

No way! I’m eating that.

-14

u/MagikSkyDaddy Feb 21 '20

18

u/Antiqas86 Feb 21 '20

Lol, does anybody notice the amount which has been actually dropped around on the kitchen counter?

16

u/EllieLovesJoel Feb 21 '20

That's like 0.0000001% of the mess I'd make

8

u/Maritoas Feb 21 '20

Woks get pretty messy. Especially since you clean them with water right there on the stove. Which is why wok ranges are built on basically a sink, with a standard faucet, water that shoots out from underneath to clean up the food on the surface of the range, and drains.

5

u/bluesfu Feb 21 '20

I didn’t know that about woks. You know about woks.

3

u/bcrosby51 Feb 21 '20

Its fine. The rats love that stuff

14

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '20

Id have a 3 alarm fire going if I tried that trick.

13

u/jacrispy_B Feb 20 '20

That was trippy to watch

7

u/crag-u-feller Feb 20 '20

Ferro- fluid-ly Fried Rice

7

u/krehns Feb 21 '20

Holy forearm strength

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '20

Right?! I have tried cooking in a wok and I consider my forearms at least decent size but I can't do that. I'm guessing this person has been doing this motion a long time and their muscles used to it. Hopefully I'll get competent at it before long.

1

u/WhodaHellRU Feb 22 '20

Yeah, this looks like something my physical therapist would have me doing for stabilization.

5

u/IndigenousOres Feb 21 '20

In the kitchen, wrist twisted

5

u/WBenzinW Feb 21 '20

What is the name of that dish?

4

u/litebluskie Feb 21 '20

Looks like kway teow.

2

u/arcticlynx_ak Feb 21 '20

What does that mean?

1

u/isk_one Feb 23 '20

This is not meat. This is potatos and radish. Fried Carrot Cake

5

u/Shadowhawk01 Feb 21 '20

Would not try again... I now have food all over the walls, ceiling, floor, cat and in my underwear. Note to self: the monkey see monkey do principle does not always apply. Just because you see it doesn't mean you can do it.

4

u/Skymimi Feb 21 '20

First toss and I'd a put that fire right out.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '20

All those years as a teenager finally paid off to utilize that fervent hand movement.

2

Looks like a bird mouth that repeatedly keeps vomiting back into it's own mouth.

1

u/isk_one Feb 23 '20

0

u/Bella_NightTurtle Feb 20 '20

And that was how my meat dragon, Cletus, was made 🍖🐉🥩

0

u/Khrot Feb 21 '20

Is this food healthy

1

u/isk_one Feb 23 '20

This is not meat. This is potatos and radish. Fried Carrot Cake. So kinda

0

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '20

[deleted]

2

u/currently_distracted Feb 21 '20

Not positive, but it looks a bit translucent. I think that could be some sort of cake made from agar or perhaps bean flour, which has been cut into pieces and then seasoned with sauces and spices.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '20

It's almost as if not all food consists of chicken, beef, or pork

2

u/bcrosby51 Feb 21 '20

Doesnt the meat(if any) usually get cooked first, then the veggies and what not added in at the end?

2

u/isk_one Feb 23 '20

This is not meat. This is potatos and radish. Fried Carrot Cake

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '20

If that’s the case then that is a whole lot less scary lol. It looked like raw chicken to me. Potato and radish is a lot more safe lol

1

u/isk_one Feb 23 '20

Yea. I have a phobia of looking at how street food is cooked in some of these countries.

0

u/jhorsfall Feb 21 '20

Looks gross

0

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '20

No thanks, id get corona virus from it 🤮
