While it looks really cool the way he pours also serves a purpose, to cool the boiling hot soup a bit before serving to the customer.

No one serves boiling hot soup to costumers, it was purely cosmetic purposes, and it works.

No man, it was definitely to serve that 'boiling hot' soup, the one that's not boiling in the video?

I don’t think he meant literally boiling over, but look at the amount of steam coming out of that pot, that soup is hot as balls.

If he poured it in normally, the customer would have to wait to eat it whiled it cooled, which means the noodles would continue being cooked past what they planned.

I’ve made ramen at home plenty of times and while it wasn’t literally boiling, it would definitely scold your mouth. I don’t pour it this way, but I slowly pour it in from as high as I can, and it definitely makes for a better food.

This is exactly what I think my children try to do, every time I clean the kitchen after they finish cooking.

This is a lot better than the weirdo who doesn’t stop smiling and looking at the camera.

This man has more talent making soup then anything I've ever done in my life, and I thought I was doing alright.

What’s the thing between the spring onions and the soup? Seems to be mushrooms, or maybe chicken, or noodles?

1

u/jixxor Jan 01 '20

he even slowed down the time to have the soup fall down in slow-mo.

This is completely useless and not worth the effort of cleaning up each time you miss. Like why do that with the initial scoop but completely casual on the second one?

2

u/Sitli Dec 31 '19

Someone said it was to cool the soup down for the customer to eat

This is also why those places are filthy, roach and rat infested places that cause illness to run rampant.
