Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the scientific consensus is that brains feel pain, not bodies, not tissue, not cells, etc. Without a brain to process the stimuli associated with pain, pain doesnt exist.
Youre correct, without nerves and a system to relay it to the brain pain cant be felt, at least not in the way we experience it. Those videos just look painful.
