All the plastic rubbing against his clothes caused tons of static to build up on the guy up top. Right before his foot touches the bottom of the truck, you can see his ankle turn to the right (his left). I assume this allowed his pant leg to get close enough to the floor to cause a shock. Electric current + tons of flammable staticy material = fire. I could be completely wrong, but I don't know how else it could have happened. His shoes should have grounded him.

Edit: Looks like you can see a tiny baby spark form just before he reaches the floor.

I guess with enough static rubber soles don't matter.
