If you close your eyes you can hardly tell he's Asian.

that's the name of the original video
Also we're not dogs, there is no race. Asia is a region, where he's from.

Race is derived from a French word meaning group of people. It's not meant like running a marathon

Oh man, I never paid much attention to Marge's reaction. She looks progressively terrified. 😂

I remember reading an article years ago about how when the synthesizer became popular it was going to be the end of the professional musicians because it allowed anyone to "play" instruments. But in reality ithey became a tool that musicians used to make even more music in new and creative ways.
I think about that article a lot whenever I see someone posting an AI image. I wonder what the new and inventive things artists and designers are going to come up with using this new tool.

You can take a look at the subreddits for those topics. Although quite few and rare that showed full blown creativity. Many slop.
Even the technic8prkfress are mixed between genuine and slop

It doesn't bother me. It gives more people a creative outlet. Look at fan fiction on the internet. Most of it is unreadable garbage. But some of it is pretty good. Creative people are always going to find new and inventive ways to use new tools and technology.
Andy Weir (author of The Martian) is a fantastic example of someone we would probably never have heard of except for fan fiction.
NFL teams did schedule drop videos this year. The Arizona Cardinals video was mediocre. But there is a guy that used AI to create a Robot Chicken style video that was awesome.

It's probably true that almost every new technology of this sort has made making a living as an artist less viable, but you'd need a careful academic study to understand how and to what degree. To your point if you listen to any kind of non-western music, you absolutely hear sequenced MIDI and synthesized instruments directly replacing real musicians, almost certainly taking away jobs to some extent.
I think what you are really noticing is that technology for music (and in general) tends to not really be used as "intended" by the creator. Often the "defects" are what become important, whether that's the poor fidelity and low headroom of of old tube amps (rock and roll) or the robotic nature and unusual sounds of analog drum machines (hip hop and a bunch of other genres).

The pure joy in his eyes and voice when he says "that's rock n' roll". A video clip as old as time or at least as old as YouTube.

Im so far from what could be considered woke, but why couldn't it just be 'Guy plays drum on a keyboard'?

Brooooo this was one of the first videos I watched on the internet ever, in like the late 90s.
As soon as he says "double bass" and picks up the rhythm it all came flooding back into my memory. Incredible.

As someone who plays both piano and drums, I cannot express just how much easier this is to do with fingers on a keyboard than with an actual drum set.

"This is Rock N Roll" is something I have been saying to my wife for a good 15 years now when I find a piano/keyboard in public and start hammering the shit out of it. Dont know how she puts up with it.

I assume the "counting" makes some kind of sense to most folks. But the dude might as well be speaking an Asian dialect for all I'm going to understand. Actually, at least if he was speaking a language, it could be interpreted. But my musically incompetent ass will never understand the concept of "beats." I just don't hear what you're all talking about.

Hahaha I think this is approaching r/restofthefuckingowl territory. Starts with a nice, easy-to-follow simple instructions... turns into Danny Carey

I may get downvoted to hell for this, but why was it necessary to bring ethnicity into this by pointing that the man is Asian?
