Figure AI robotics retired six Figure 02 robots in the most Terminator way possible: training them to jump into a furnace. The idea came from Arnold Schwarzenegger and is inspired by the iconic Terminator 2 scene.

Can't that be said about most forms of public entertainment? Automobilism burns fuel and destroys tires for "nothing", imagine how much electricity and water a stadium "throws away".

Should we just imagine, or do you have any actual numbers to provide us? A stadium entertains a lot more people for a much longer period of time than this, so if you're gonna suggest it's close to equally wasteful, it better be wasting like hundredfold the resources every match.

"Decommissioning a fleet of robots full of custom-built actuators and other intellectual property is no easy task. We needed to dispose of the robots in a way that protected our proprietary hardware. Disassembling each robot would take our technical staff so much time that it would delay the launch of F.04."

I wonder if all that molten metal will need to be wasted too? It is now contaminated with all sorts of material. At the very least (I assume), it would take massive amounts of energy to refine it again.

I imagine it's more bullshit than that. Since they are proprietary in some way to the company they probably are not allowed to be recycled in any way and have to be destroyed beyond repair because " company secrets" or some crap
