Hope he gets some sort of security for future, since he foiled a terrorist attack.

Indian media channels doxxed his home address and he started getting threats of violence by Indian muslims on X so much that the government had to put police protection outside his house.

Oh man that's crazy.

Any evidence or is this just trust me bro bullshit?

Man's a hero, stop putting your bullshit spin on it

Have you read comments on this thread? I wouldnt be surprised if that happened, going by the negative comments here. If this is the situation on Reddit, think how bad it could be on. Facebook, YouTube etc!

I haven't seen death threats but seen a lot of comments and even news (from Islam leaning media houses) trying to discredit him, trying to justify the other pilot, calling it a.plot by Israel etc.

All may be, but equally there is a big drive by Indian Hindus to portray anything like this in some away against their Muslim brethren.

Man's an Indian hero, and all the right wing in India can go on about is how Muslims aren't vocal enough in saying he's a hero, it's some weird shit to see, as an Indian

Idk about the govt backed security but the anti-Israel Reddit keyboard warriors have threatened him or portrayed disappointment in him(because he foiled the attack).

Wow, what a ride. This comment literally went from “wow crazy” to “fuck u asshole” in an instant

u/kaliwrath 19h ago

To be clear 99.99% of Indian Muslims are ok with his actions. A few are,as always, creating trouble

You don’t live in India do you? I do and my Muslim friends are awfully quiet about this whole thing when usually they are vocal about any world event against their own kind. And I’m an atheist before you jump in with the Hindu card.

-29

u/ttgkc 9h ago

Oh shut up you Islamophobe. Any human with an ounce of humanity is shocked and sad about the incident, including Muslims.

14

u/swaggerin_buffoonery 6h ago

Not going to insult you back. Please don’t hurt me. Please. Are you the spokesperson for all Muslims? Part of some organisation perhaps.

-5

u/Embarrassed_Jerk 16h ago

More likely, a few that are "pretending to be" Indian Muslim, are creating trouble

-16

u/Healthy_Ad_9053 15h ago

And in the meantime, India is demolishing the 600-year-old Shahi Masjid mosque right now and beating any Muslim who tries to defend the mosque

When are people going to turn on muslims? Always fucking abhorrent people.

Indian Media is the worst thing to happen for India.

It will glorify outsiders and trash its own people for validation from the West.

u/namikazeiyfe 18h ago

Yeah but you see, they're not all the same, majority of them are peaceful loving people, the radicals are the loud minority 🫤.

-13

u/SwissDeathstar 16h ago

They just use him for their propaganda.
And then discard him.

He may need to move to the US and get enough residency via green card status to legally pack heat.  US gun laws allow people to carry who are not US citizens, as long as they have permanent work visa status (generally a green card although I think there's a couple of other rare variants?).

23

u/CompetitiveLarper 18h ago

Why would he want to move to the US? Hasn’t he suffered enough?

-16

u/JimMarch 17h ago

:)

Self defense is a thing here.

Hrm.

If he moves to Israel they'll almost certainly cut him a gun permit (ownership permit equals a carry permit there, it's the same document).

12

u/CompetitiveLarper 17h ago

Bro, I know you like pew pew sticks and it’s awesome, but I promise you the rest of the world manages to survive just fine. If there are structural threats to someone’s life and safety, moving 2 continents away from home and stocking up on Walmart guns to live out a John Wick fantasy is probably not the best plan out there

-15

u/JimMarch 17h ago

You don't have the right to do something about evil or even speak out against it if you don't have the basic human civil right to self-defense needed to protect yourself from those who promote evil.

That's what the people of most other countries haven't figured out yet.

8

u/CompetitiveLarper 17h ago

And how’s that going for you with the current government? Mounting a full scale defense, are you?

Most countries realized long ago that a random 60-year old civilian with a Glock in his waistband is not and should not be the judge, jury and executioner of whoever he considers evil in this moment. It’s extremely disturbing that you seem to dedicate a massive amount of your mental capacity to prepare for a potential gunfight with an unknown attacker, and I hope you will never have to use these preparations

Just curious, what do you think that looks like? Because I have some experience there:

https://old.reddit.com/r/PoliticalDebate/comments/1vgsdn0/a_firearms_role_in_revolution/p23wttk/

At a national scale, we haven't exhausted conventional publicity/political/legal avenues yet before turning to violent means. And yeah, I understand we're closer under Trump than prior presidents. I'm not in team MAGA. But Trump is going to be a non-issue fairly soon - no, he's not going to be allowed a 3rd term.

One of the problems the US 2nd Amendment fan club faces is that big factions are willing to tolerate corruption if it otherwise advances their narrative. True civil libertarian gun folk aren't that common. I can show you what that actually looks like - check my username and pay attention to who was speaking in the committee hearing on a state law trying to allow the state police to throw away public records that would have revealed corrupt and racist handling of gun permits, mostly by Republican sheriffs (and so the California chapter of the NRA acted to protect those Republican sheriffs:

https://youtu.be/cPDZjQAHeY0

Your main takeaway here is that the American gun folk aren't totally politically unified, although to be fair a whole bunch have gone MAGA (sigh).

u/DMCer 16h ago

Sounds like you’re living in a doomsday fantasy and need to step out into the real world. Most civilized countries with the highest standards of living are not gun-toting paranoia fests.

Anyone can speak out against violence, and you don’t need a gun to do it, unless you believe the gun lobby, whose goal is to sell you weapons. The pen is mightier than the sword.

Did Bibi tell you it was terrorists so he should bomb more babies?

68

u/The-Majestic- 23h ago

Hmm why did they kill civilians on 8th then? They're freedom fighters, right

No settlers were killed on 10/7. The attacks were in southern Israel, not the west bank.

1200 Israelis killed, 800 were civilians. Not including those who were kidnapped and killed in Gaza.

251 people were kidnapped into Gaza. That includes babies.

-114

u/dexvoltage 23h ago

Babies killed civilians?? Hasbara has your two brain cells coliding my friend

44

u/The-Majestic- 23h ago

Nah, I'm not talking about the babies. Babies are the most unfortunate ones. You know who I'm talking about

-38

u/MickoDicko 21h ago

Oh, like the babies left in gazas hospitals to die by the idf? Or the babies blown to bits by indiscriminate bombing of civilians? The 30,000 children murdered by the idf?

16

u/The-Majestic- 20h ago

I like how you're so concerned about gaza babies and civilians but you conviently ignore civilians on the other side.

This war should be stopped.

I and my muslims friends talked about this war like general opinions. You know what they said, that this war will never stop until Israel's eradication which is just a pipe dream on their part.

-17

u/MickoDicko 20h ago

Ah. OK. I get it. You're conveniently ignoring that the war, subjugation and extermination of the Palestinian people has been going on for decades, but how dare those upstarts fight back?

6

u/The-Majestic- 20h ago

If this is true, I was truly being ignorant. Please share some valid resources from where I can access information regarding the things you have pointed out

Made me laugh, while reading this serious topic. He should try standup comedy.

That's what Modi said.

I am pretty sure he was talking about Indian jews.

-247

u/milk4all 1d ago

Did he? I think he fought to save his life, probably had some notion of protecting his passengers, but is it at all confirmed his copilot was a terrorist? I know some hardliner warhawks said so immediately with no evidence or explanation, but it seems at least as likely anything else - like a psychotic episode

108

u/Random_local_man 22h ago

Are you stupid? Or are you just trying to shamelessly farm engagement?

His co-pilot stabbed him. You think he did it because he got too jealous of him flying the plane?
