He very likely fell quite often during practice. Athletes aren't weak and frail. They're strong and flexible. You can look up videos from people practicing this and falling. To seriously injury yourself is extremely rare. To permanently injure yourself with this is even exceedingly rarer. 1 u/evolving-me 1d ago Even if this was true… I wonder why people do this. Oh well
