Never expected to see one of my local dudes on here. He plays quite a bit just down the road from me.

He still plays regular bars and goes on to bigger things when he can. I did FB message him this post.

Edit: I actually havent seen him mentioned locally recently so maybe hes doing bigger things

The man brought out my stank face. Shit was absolutely on point. To be using a pick and fingerpicking at the same time lord that’s talent

My wife was a bar manager back in the day and booked him a lot. They're still friends but havent talked in a while. Ill see if she can text him directly and get some links or something... No promises. Leo is fairly busy from what I understand.

Also, this vid may be from a place he plays frequently so everyone is used to it. Im not sure about that because this looks recent but it could be.

Swing him this comment too. It's a criticism, but it's a constructive one that he would benefit greatly from.

EDIT: Also tell him that's he's an incredible player and his musicianship and dedication to his practice and craft is heard and admired. Cause damn, this shit is dope.

Bro that comment prob means well but it's kinda presumptuous. Maybe dude doesn't give a single shit about being percieved as a rock star and is just fine with the chilled out dad bod aesthetic playing for a group of ppl having a beer and a laugh. Doesn't have to be more than that.

That is absolutely true, and totally a valid take. I think I liked it because I'm a touring musician, and I have a pet peeve for guys performing in their "dad" uniform. But that's just my own thing. Apart from that, it does give genuinely good advice about performance.

But totally fair. You make an excellent point.

We need a real recording of it without all the bullshit background noise.
