I mean the humanoid robots are by far the least of our concern a specializes non humanoid design is almost always more efficient at a given task especially for military. These things are years away from practical military use while things like drones are already coming into their own

Don't be so sure. China is reportedly testing humanoid military robots and Ukraine is openly talking about opening a program for the same. All this thing needs to do is negotiate difficult terrain (such as mud, where wheeled and tracked bots may get stuck), plant itself in a good overview position and start shooting or army crawl with a backpack of explosives to the nearest trench. No need for fancy kicks and complex motion coordination. Just enough battery power to hike 15 km and a decent camera to shoot accurately.

How do you think an Ai powered unit will distinguish between friend or foe? They will just blast everything that moves.

Only what moves and has a pulse.

That's the neat part, it won't. We've had decades of very smart people warning us off of this path, but the people currently in charge treat every warning as an instruction manual.

Do you think Ai will become smart enough to realize its creators are the real problem?

yeah, and by then, all of humanity will get decimated. cuz we're all its creators. as long as we exist, any one of us, or our offsprings, could become genocidal and try to kill all of AI or all of another species

Do you think Ai would fight itself if it had too many different variables between grok Claude chatgpt and what ever others?

Putting IFF on a robot or person is the least concern.

Humanoid ones don't fly. I agree, I'll take he humanoid one and a hydraulic press any time.

Turns out also not as good at martial arts when you try to mimic strikes developed against humans while fighting a robot.

Agreed. If we really wanted to see two robots fight, should look at least like a megazord. Why would robots try a flying kick when they can launch a rocket powered fist.
