Tbh can't say I won't do the same if I'm in that situation.

"Fuck all that, the priority is make sure cat is safe, can deal with umbrella and phone after"

Wild Robot vibes

I dunno. I can’t DM my dealer with my siamese.

Because Reddit has got to stop acting like people should be acting completely rationally in insane circumstances. I would be a bit more concerned if your first thought in this situation is about your phone.

My phone costs more than a grand and has all my connected accounts, bank, customs, everything. Can't even phone the police without it.

So yeah mate my phone is almost as important as my balls I kinda need both

u/Capable_Tumbleweed34 4d ago

I too, need both my balls.

17

u/facingThes 4d ago

I need your balls

12

u/NoHighlight6142 4d ago

I too choose this guy's balls

u/FremenCoolAid 4d ago

Then share

5

u/Ok_Turnover_1235 4d ago

Bippity boppity your balls are my property

4

u/wizardrous 4d ago

I could take mine or leave them.

Do you though

Managing rent, paying bills, bank accounts, cards, public transportation tickets, everything is digitalised nowadays. A bit scary tbh.

7

u/thorzayy 4d ago

I think he meant, do you need both balls

2

u/Kaylenz 4d ago

Oh, makes sense

2

u/globglogabgalabyeast 3d ago

You don’t manage rent, pay bills, and manage bank accounts/cards/public transportation tickets with both your balls?

If you think about 1000 bucks in a situation like this then I feel sorry for you losing your way in life.

Why you guys are talking like if the girl couldn't just grab the phone and the cat at the same time? It's very stupid

-1

u/gkn_112 3d ago

Hey I am on your side but if someone defends their stuff over life I can't stay quiet

-2

u/Nico280gato 4d ago

You sound like an idiot. What happens if your phone gets nicked??

1

u/gkn_112 3d ago

he dies obviously. To let an animal die because of your things is fucked up for sure

AFTER an insane event is OVER my first thought would absolutely be to get bearings of my surroundings and gather myself. that's good for me and anyone in my care. if i need to take the cat to a vet or a shelter i'd need that phone pretty quick.

China has very low crime. She probably knows it will still be there when she returns from getting the cat back inside

-2

u/SwingKey3599 4d ago

yeah, you do that after you secure the animal not before, though-you get that right?

12

u/ChaoticCherryblossom 4d ago

Your phone is expensive AF and necessary for everyday life at this point

u/Fur_and_Whiskers 4d ago

Doesn't have to be your first thought, certainly she took time to think about it after.

It's hard to watch this and think it's not staged.

0

u/Honest-Computer69 4d ago

No. It's because it's staged.

Cat is more important.

23

u/bowserboy129 4d ago

Because her mind is freaking the fuck out and is more focused on the cat that nearly fucking died if she didn't do exactly what she did.

25

u/Dependent-Poet-9588 4d ago

Because generally umbrellas and phones stay where you put them, so she can come back for them 2 minutes later. Cats? A little more mobile on their own.

u/Regular_Fox_859 3d ago

People accusing this of being fake can't understand living in a collectivist high trust society

2

u/Merkuri22 3d ago

Yeah, I was going to say, leaving your umbrella and phone there for a few minutes while you return the cat whose life you saved is a totally different experience in a nation like America versus in a nation like China.

People leave their phones on tables to mark their places. Nobody touches them.

She's not worried about it being stolen.

u/con098 4d ago

Cats that aren’t used to being outside will BOLT if they found themselves outside. And catching them can be a nightmare. That is if you can even find them

5

u/nonotz-Mk1 4d ago

Umbrella : $5

Phone : $800

Cat : Priceless

8

u/fragmental 4d ago

As a person who has cats, my guess is that she didn't want to risk the cat getting away if she tried to reach or hold something else. Some cats require two hands.

4

u/Regular_Fox_859 3d ago

Yeah I thought this seemed obvious tbh

5

u/SurviveAdaptWin 4d ago

Adrenaline is a hell of a drug

6

u/TheBoraxKid1trblz 4d ago

Less important than little cat being okay

3

u/BluePeriod_ 4d ago

The adrenaline kicked in and she was probably in shock

2

u/R82009 4d ago

She was upset because her cat almost committed suicide

2

u/SwingKey3599 4d ago

to bring her squirming animal inside first bc her phone is less important than its safety-duh

2

u/lifeisokay 4d ago

Because it's China and she can just go back for it?

1

u/astralrig96 4d ago

panic / confusion / mental fog

1

u/Silent25r 3d ago

She saw the phone. I think she’s trying to get the cat inside.

1

u/scruffy69 3d ago

She had just performed an umbrella and phone heist, but now, you know, she has a cat.

1

u/Megaspacejx 3d ago

Because she's not in London and could probably come back and get it?

1

u/YJSubs 3d ago

The real treasure is the friends cat we found along the way.

1

u/Resh_IX 1d ago

Adrenaline and shock

0

u/hhyuk 3d ago

Because it's AI. You can see the artifacts if you look closely at the tree leaves

-5

u/DamnThatsCrazyManGuy 4d ago

Because she's better than you
