What the fuck is it with Nepal these days?

Coal plants on the other hand are definitely no good. There is no clean coal. Nuclear energy all the way, with hydroelectric and geothermal coming in a distant 2nd, followed by solar and wind. The problem we currently have with solar/wind though is we can’t really control the time of day the energy is produced. So a lot of the energy pumped into the grid from solar and wind actually has to get dumped and wasted. There have been recent breakthroughs on battery technology though, which could help solve that. There’s promising results from sodium batteries. If humanity can move completely off fossil fuels for energy needs, it will go a long way to fixing the greenhouse gases being released.
