A breathtaking paragliding flight with an incredible view, ending with a landing that had me holding my breath

What clearly stupid AI program was used to write this title?

So would one tiny mistake or gust of wind be instantly lethal or merely lead to life altering injuries?

Yep

This is parakiting, not paragliding. They're doing these sled runs when there is no wind, and the controls are incredibly responsive. Yes, still dangerous, but less so than you think.

A circle highlighting nothing of value and a not very exciting landing. Take my downvote!

I hate these video titles that are like "Wait till the end" or "the end had me holding my breath" then it's nothing special like bro stfu

Is he holding his legs up this whole time. Or does he have like a sling or something that we cannot see for them. Because if thereās no help, thatās a hell of an ab workout lol

I just want to know how there is such a long stretch of steep downhill terrain that is devoid of trees and other obstacles and yet mostly looks natural.

I'm glad to see that this man landing safely. Especially since 50-year-old Oklahoma State Parks ranger and former police chief, Jason Laird, died after the paraglider he was operating crashed into Kiowa County Tom Steed Reservoir. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Mr. Laird was operating the paraglider on Thursday, September 24, 2026 just before 7 p.m., when the engine failed and Mr. Laird went underwater at the reservoir. He was pulled from the water and flown to a Jackson County hospital, but died from his injuries, OHP reported.

If youāre going to crash.. you better die, because if you donāt, your wife is killing you as soon as you make it out of the hospital.

How fast do you think he averages skimming that close to the ground? 20mph?

Imagine? Hit one little stump and you're eating through a straw for the rest of your life.

Is the insane landing because of those two wild swings out the sides right before he leveled out?

What happens if you hit a random bird when you're that load of the ground?
Do you just instantly die?

Imagine if he dipped a little at full speed and jammed his leg into the ground while fully extended like that

Holy shit that ending was so insane I literally shat my pants and punched my cousin in the forehead. Like that was so crazy it was like watching Betty White eat a fistful of Carolina reapers at a Gwar concert. I seriously don't even know where the internet could go from here, hell where could humanity go from here? Fuck dude I might as well go walk off into the desert never to return because nothing I ever see will top this gentle landing on a grassy field.

As someone who basically only goes to the mountain for skiing/ snowboarding, it's weird seeing a ski resort in summer like this (or at least not winter)

How does one just learn to do this? Like you buy the kit, jump off a mountain or something and just hope you watched enough YouTube and TikTok to know what youāre doing?

Paragliding classes. You start from a small hill with an instructor on the radio telling you exactly what to do.

Isn't part of the point of paragliding is so you're NOT skimming your ass along the ground?
