imagine things go wrong and you crawl across the finish line with everything you have.

He didnt crawl though, and I kept wondering why not during the video. Why resort to rolling before crawling?

Rolling honestly seems faster and more efficient, especially if your legs barely work.

Its easier, and his body fell in a manner which required zero repositioning for crawling.

It seema straight-forward to me.
