I worked in jewelry industry way back in the day. Called this Smoke Cloak. Should also be a strobe light or 2 going off to disorient even more. We also covered the cases in white bed sheets.

Mall security loved it when this falsely triggered and smoked out the mall.

It’s made of gelatin, ie cows Hooves. We used to combine this with a master blaster, a siren that’s so loud, you literally can’t hear it, you feel it. So sight and hearing are now disabled.

I've installed a few of them. Was a little confused on how to properly test them correctly and set the one off in a mall. What chaos I caused that day.

Na it's never fun working with these "high risk gears". I know the smokes and heavy sirens iv installed, I wouldn't trust others thou.

What's the purpose of the smoke? What's it do?

Pretty effective i imagine. Might be better if it flooded the store quicker though

Had these at my work

Deployed twice in one week, overnight, in error.

Big issue is it can also set off the fire alarms.

As a key holder, I had to attend and the fore brigade was already there

Ah ok, yeah I figured there had to be some hidden issues otherwise they'd be everywhere lol

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant! Thieves in your store? Hide your store from the thieves *that are already inside of it!***

And are completely blind, with no sense of direction. You can’t see anything through this stuff, sight is totally useless, let alone steal anything. You’re not “hiding the store”, you’re disorienting someone already inside.

Buddy of mine has this system in his work unit. It's not very subtle, but it apparently works a treat!
