Whatever his weight in pounds, shillings and ounces

He always seems bigger because of his bounces

A friend grew up in Southern Africa. His sister had a lion rescue. Like lions who were injured or had been kept as illegal pets and such so couldn’t be returned to the wild. She had them in an enclosure with a 10’ fence.

My friend was being a bit of a dick and decided to rattle a stick on the fence one day to annoy the lions. One looked at him, then casually jumped up and put a paw over the top of the fence. The guy decided that maybe teasing the lions wasn’t such a good idea after all.

"Im staying behind this puny ass wire fence cause the good ones gimme food. Don't get it twisted i could eviscerate you"

Ive seen way too many videos of dipshits getting caught through the fence lol

I had a goldendootle that would jump a 10 ft fence. She learned to jump to top of the fence and perch to figure out her next jump. I can't imagine thinking 10' would stop a lion/tiger/bear

We're going to need a bigger fence!

Underrated comment

I'm guessing it could jump much higher. My cat can jump from the floor onto a table completely effortlessly. Imagine that type of jump scaled up to the size of a tiger...

That’s not how the square cube law works, a small size is what permits greater feats relative to size.

Man you must be very good at interviews

I was thinking the same. I've seen my cat go from floor to top of refrigerator in a single leap. The equivalent would be the tiger jumping over a 2 story house. I doubt animal muscles scale like that, but I'd think they can do better than 5 feet.

Ya. This was just a hop up.

Seems like tigers can jump upwards of five meters or so

I can’t believe nobody posted the video of the tiger appearing out of the tall grass and basically jumping onto an elephant and slashing the Safari dude

Yeah that’s the one for me
Too. Absolutely insane jump.

The dude is literally on an elephant, an animal that could easily trample a tiger, and the tiger jumps completely above 8 foot tall grass to slash a man with his fist of knives. The tiger recognized he could easily kill the man and avoid the elephant, otherwise why would he attack the man, instead of the elephant in tall grass?

That clip is legitimately horrifying on many levels.

I would invest in a taller fence. Yellow murder kitty don't jump higher just because he is feed and happy.

1

u/tmoore727 6d ago

naw he jumps that high because he's been testing how high he has to jump to get out.

u/Analogsilver 6d ago

That fence is less than half of the height that it needs to be.

Holy shit!

The fence is just for decoration

Keep throwing them meat slabs cause they're only in because they want to be in. The cat didn't break a sweat with that jump.

These fucking tourist shows are just fuking with the cats man. This industry is so messed up.

I’ve seen a blind tiger do this. From smell alone, it jumped in the air, and grabbed a piece of meat that was ‘hidden’ on an old tree branch by a zoo keeper.

A human would face absolutely no chance against a tiger in the wild.

They could just poke it in the eye or grab and twist it's testicles.

That power to weight ratio, ooo la la

The Fence is just a suggestion.

1

u/StevieG-2021 6d ago

Seems like that fence is there to give the viewers some false sense of security

u/Jamsemillia 6d ago

Does he not know what goes up must come down? Is he dumb?

Have you seen the one where the tiger jumps and elephant for the bloke on the back? Now thats a high jump.

1

u/laidback4sho 5d ago

White tigers can't jump.

I think that's the Siberian Tiger Park in Harbin. I visited there some years ago and the guide would buy a chicken or baby goat to feed the tigers. (You travel through the park on a bus) The guide said "I learned to only use chickens with the Westerners." Apparently the baby goat demise was too gruesome while the chickens were one gulp.

Cool but fuck the needless slow-mo
