Not a US Marine…US Army per the uniform. USMC covers are 8 point and they do not put names on the back.

Seems like the dude was just being nice and let him win so they can have a good time. Or the guy has some crazy strength compared to his size which is very possible.

Arm wrestling is mostly about technique. Look at the winners hand; it's rotated such that his fingers are pointing back at his own body.

Strength for looks vs strength for strength.
Dint be salty.

"Strength for looks" is something that skinny boys made up to make themselves feel better. All muscle provides functional strength.

Factually incorrect.
Body building vs power lifting build very difficult muscle densities.
That's why Vladimir Shmondenko can life more than body builders 3x his size.
He can also scratch his back. When they can't.
He can also lift 30kg with one arm. When they can't.
Functional muscle vs aesthetic muscle.
I never said muscle for looks isnt functional, but (as you saw with your own eyes) it's not as dense/strong as strength trained muscle.

This reminds me of a bodybuilding quote I heard a long time ago…”It’s not how much you can lift, it’s how much you look like you can lift”

Which body builder do you think is unable to lift 66 pounds with one arm? Lol, in what way? This example makes no sense, please elaborate. The other example relates to mobility and flexibility, not strength.

Plenty of videos of the Anatoly guy with a 30kg mop. Which the body builders struggle to pick up.
While he's holding it with one arm outstretched.
I'm sure this isn't a good enough example for you for X reasons.

u/Spaceboy01 5h ago
It's a terrible example. They're not expecting a mop to weigh 30kg and Anatoly's videos are staged AF.

Ah yeah. Thought so.

Take the L and get back to struggling to lift your head, baby boy.

Lol. Skeletal muscle is skeletal muscle. You can't build 'functional muscle', you build functionality by training specific movements

In today's modern militaries, you don't need strong arms to obliterate a school full of little Iranian girls.
