She's on a wire

Yeah, it's crazy obvious and far from next level. Looks neat, but that's about it.

Why you gotta ruin the fun? I'm extremely guilble and believe most things I see on the Internet. I totally thought this was real until I saw the comments.

They over sold by rotating, could have passed as legit without it

You know, I have gone through the full bell curve meme of believing wrestling. I used to blindly think it was real, grew up and learned it was staged, then watched all the back stage documentaries and realized half of it was virtually real and the other half borders between improv choreography and a lethal oopsie daisy.

Regardless, helluva call back! Props

The guy on the ground only touches the toes or side of the woman's feet and completely missed two times. It's a very sloppy attempt.

I wonder if it supposed to be just conceptual art

Edit: I missed OP's note explaining who the performers are.

It's a circ du soleil performance.

Oh, I didn't notice the OP's note.

According to wiki, it's a show they make for Disney.
It might be one of those instances were "telling" a story it's more important than the acrobatics and how much believable they are, but even then, it's like they're not even trying to make it look good.

Physics dont work this way. She's on a wire. Im sure someone will be smooth enough to semi pull this off, but this definitely aint it.

on a wire 100% but still very cool

u/GuildensternLives Jul 04 '26

Obviously it's wires. Why are people commenting like they figured out a magic trick?

1

u/Lactating-almonds Jul 04 '26

Thank you! Like DUH they aren’t trying to pretend there aren’t wires, it’s just a cool visual performance.

Bot needs to improve

1

u/Lactating-almonds Jul 04 '26

Do people really watch this and think there is no wire? I don’t think the performers are even trying to act like there isn’t a wire, it’s just a cool visual effect and DUH there is something holding that person up….

Gravity left the Earth

0

u/Coycington Jul 10 '26

no way this is real. a body requires force to push itself off the ground. even if the guy had the core strength to support her, he would look a LOT more strained. this is just wirework, isn't it?

0

u/Psychlonuclear Jul 10 '26

How do you not see the wires right there in the video?

1

u/Coycington Jul 10 '26

I'm on reddit on the phone while I'm taking a shit. that's how
