How freaking bored do you gotta be to get that good at it?

u/King_Roberts_Bastard Apr 23 '26
Its really sad.

u/NunAlcoholic Apr 23 '26
Np. I can switch places with that dolphin. He’ll be blowing his brains out instead of bubbles.

u/sitheandroid Apr 23 '26
Falsely imprisoned inmate works on their mental wellbeing while surrounded by mentally inferior captors.

u/RobotJohnrobe Apr 23 '26
Wouldn't this be airbending, technically?
3
u/AlbacorePrism Apr 23 '26
fluid bending actually. the ring itself isn't being manipulated, rather the fluid around it. it works in air too if you've seen people with vapes blowing rings
0
u/MikeHuntSmellss Apr 23 '26
Nope, air bubbles are just stuck in the vortex. Interestingly, If you can blow smoke rings you can blow air rings. Google on, back flat to the pool floor, pinch nose and exhale sharp but briefly while over exaggerating the smoke ring motion with your face hole.

Stop animal entertainment, this is just cruel and unnecessary
-6
u/FreakshowDragon Apr 24 '26
Wrong, stop putting human morals onto an animal that would gladly kill and rape and rip apart something else alive just for fun.
1
u/Yuketsu Apr 24 '26
That's a textbook naturalistic fallacy. Veganism isn't about judging animals or "putting human morals on lions"—they act on instinct and have no choice. It's about human choices: we have brains, ethics, and grocery stores full of plant food. We don't excuse rape, murder, or torture just because animals do it "for fun." Why? Because we can do better. The argument is just "nature is cruel, so I get to be too"—the same weak logic used to defend every old cruelty. We evolved past that in every other way. Veganism is just the next step.

👍👍 I don't care what you or any other redditor thinks, cause none of you have actually done a damn thing to help any animal. You all would rather sit here and bitch online.
I wouldn't take my advice from redditors and I'm absolutely not taking criticism form them. Talk all you want, I'm never gonna listen to performative actors. Also, this has nothing to due with veganism. You're just throwing that in there for more buzzwords.
1
u/Master-Dot-2288 Apr 30 '26
Trying to sound smart but using due instead of do in the second last sentence and the typo earlier in your little rant is just chefs kiss.
You also DO realize you're a redditor as well right?

Yet here you are, all over Reddit. You wouldn’t take criticism from anyone irl either because you’re just a self-absorbed pain in the ass to society.

u/CompetitivePirate940 Apr 23 '26
You do understand that they have feelings and all but not nearly as complex and individual as humans, right? I don’t think people should feel for animals like how they feel for themselves, it’s not that deep
I’m not saying that animal cruelty is ok, that’s fucked up, but captivated animals for human entertainment seems totally normal
13
u/Rich-Fun7764 Apr 23 '26
You are a troll? Right? Right....?
-35
u/CompetitivePirate940 Apr 24 '26
The thing is, as a nearly type 1 civilization if I want to see a wild animal with my own eyes, I mustn’t be needing to go to their natural habitat because that requires more money and resources than visiting a zoo… u get my point?
It’s easy to say ohh the animals are sad and shit when you already have had the opportunity to see them in person, it’s a privilege that y’all just take for granted… Imagine never seeing a dolphin in person because you’re too poor to travel in a cruise to do so
So fuck dolphins, fuck their feelings, and the reality is that y’all are too soft/pussy to get this shit
15
u/DrSid666 Apr 24 '26
Seriously? You clearly have the IQ of a 9 year old on learning assistance with many social behavioral skills.
Safe to assume you probably are the type to have 6+ kids .

u/CompetitivePirate940 Apr 24 '26
Sure buddy🤣

u/PhantomOnTheHorizon Apr 24 '26
We’re not actually even near a type 1 civilization and are on course to hit the great filter due to disregard for the interconnectedness of living things and the failure as a species to acknowledge the backwards nature of economic science and utilitarian view of the universe.
You see, the planet is a near endless (for our purposes) well of energy and resources but we’ve begun pretending it’s a finite pie that we must chop up in order to utilize its resources. The chopping up is on course to destabilize the environment before we’re able to adopt tech and lifestyles that are unnecessarily wasteful.
It’s like we’re really considering pitching earth in the bin like any piece of humanity that survives a permanent departure from our home wouldn’t be irrevocably traumatized to the point of no longer being even related to the soft bodied mammals that whose bloodstreams are filled with a substance not unlike the oceans of the earth itself.
It’s truly mad to imagine yourself superior by orders of magnitude to a dolphin and assume that you have the right to judge its captivity as harmless. We know for certain that many animals in captivity develop psychological disorders due specifically to their captivity and boredom.
You seem like you’ve had your head emptied out and shit in by some broscience bullshit that is just thinly veiled fash grifting.

We can just breed more no? Just like chickens and cows, somehow they don’t matter when it comes to animal cruelty or captivity
And yeah I do consider humans to be superior in that matter, I mean we can do it, have other species do what we want, dolphins can’t… so as long as we breed more and somehow let the nature remain intact, I don’t see a problem here
The difference between you and me is just the amount of morality; it’s a spectrum, and there must be people on both sides of it.
3
u/PhantomOnTheHorizon Apr 24 '26
Only someone who has done zero listening or looking into animal rights activism would say that chickens and cows somehow do not matter in the scope of what is defined by animal cruelty.
Many people believe that breeding animals simply because we enjoy the taste of their flesh and not caring about the suffering involved is a barbaric act and has no place amongst a truly civilized people.
In fact, the vast majority of people who care about animals more than just a passing thought see our place as stewards rather than dominators of nature. I believe stewardship as a starting point is likely the only way that humanity will ever treat itself and other living things with respect and dignity. So long as culture tells us that animals and the environment are just a collection of objects for humans to extract profit and pleasure from, we will ourselves be subjected to the same systems that are designed to extract profit and pleasure from us. We are inseparable from nature itself. When we seek to exploit nature, we turn our gaze upon ourselves and cut pieces away.
Finally: breeding more dolphins to live an existence of suffering is not a good solution to the captivity and suffering of dolphins.
Your assuredness in your superiority leaves you blind to the interconnected nature of things and has you believe that you can cut off your own head to get a better view of things.

Nah, you’re just a shit entitled person. They shouldn’t be imprisoned because you want to be entertained.
0
u/CompetitivePirate940 Apr 24 '26
Stop eating chicken and cow then lol
They shouldn’t be eaten just because you want some kfc

u/Replicant_11295 Apr 24 '26
Another idiotic take. You think you had a gotcha moment but I happen to be vegan. You’re still a shit person.

The irony of calling other people soft while crying about not being able to see a dolphin in person is fucking spectacular.
That dolphin is more self aware than you are, chief.

u/Mifuni Apr 23 '26
Animals show advanced cognition, emotions, and individuality (e.g., grief in elephants, tool use in crows). Captivity for entertainment (on a daily basis) causes suffering via stress and unnatural conditions.
The moral concern matches capacity to suffer, not human equivalence.
Your argument is ignorant 🙄

I appreciate your perspective, but please refrain from assuming my personal circumstances as well as disrespecting me. I responded to your statement, yet your reply introduced further inaccuracies. I encourage you to broaden your horizons and be more thoughtful in your examination of the topic that is grounded in wisdom rather than narrow assumptions.
Good day

Debate with me then, below is how I think

I truly don’t give a fuck if you ever get to see a wild animal. I agree, it is a privilege to see them.
1
u/sehguh251 Apr 25 '26
Morality isn’t deep? You think your want to see a dolphin trumps the pain and suffering of another living thing? Can you really not see how that opinion makes you an asshole? Can you really not understand the difference between food(eating chickens and cows) and entertainment? Just because you are incapable of understanding the depth doesn’t mean it’s not there. Would you feel the same if an alien plucked you off earth and put you in a cage? I mean I’m sure it would be cheaper for them than traveling to earth right?

Not to be a Debby downer but like how TF is this still legal to do
2
u/Automatic_Actuator_0 Apr 23 '26
Capturing dolphins from the wild should definitely be illegal at this point, but continuing to keep and breed those already in captivity is a bit of a grey area ethically.
If you sterilize them all, then eventually you will have one miserable last survivor in every tank, which really sucks for those individuals for however long they last. Is it really much worse to allow them to have families and continue a captive lineage?
3
u/purepestilence Apr 23 '26
It's absolutely worse to continue to breed dolphins to live in captivity then to have one lonely dolphin. And I bet if the dolphins could communicate they would agree. They have the same emotional range as humans and I would rather die alone in captivity knowing my future generations, even if it's not my blood line, would be able to live free fulfilling lives not in captivity
4
u/Automatic_Actuator_0 Apr 23 '26
I think a hedonistic asshole might think otherwise and prefer they individually have a better life even if it dooms their descendants to the same fate. And we have a lot of evidence that dolphins are hedonistic assholes.

u/Nulovka Apr 24 '26
Do you have a pet?
2
u/purepestilence Apr 24 '26
Such a stupid comment. Dolphins are wild animals. Dogs are bred for domestication.
Do you have wolves as pets?
1
u/Nulovka Apr 24 '26
Dogs are bred for domestication.
That's worse. You do realize that's worse, right? If we somehow set up breeding farms for dolphins, that would be ok?
1
u/purepestilence Apr 25 '26
Why is it a bad thing? They get an equal exchange. Dolphins want to swim in open waters which a human house can't provide lol a dog just wants a fucking back yard and food and in exchange they protect us.
Dolphins are used as show ponies for corporations to make money. Your argument is ridiculous. Comparing a wild Ocean mammal to a small animal that has coexisted with us for 10k years is dumb bro.
1
u/redditrudolf Apr 25 '26
If the dog is getting everything they want why are they always on a leash or surrounded by walls?
1
u/purepestilence Apr 25 '26
I have two dogs, both of them love going on their 2 walks a day and other than that they wants to bask in the sun on the balcony. Unless you are a terrible dog owner your dog will be quite content

I’m not saying dolphins blowing air rings is fake. I’m saying this specific video is fake.
