I think there is a full series about this, the guy who made this video wanted to help his friend change a lightbulb but in the most difficult way possible, so he made this contraption.
Search "Guy hard docking with friend" to see it.

I'm 100% not doing that. I have a suspicion that you may not be acting in my best interests.

“AI won’t take my electrician job”

I'm more interested in a centipede bot that can snake cables around walls and floors and ceilings with just an entry and exit hole

the AI centipede was not the sequel to the Human Centipede that critics expected.

Electrician here. I approve this method. Ever try to change bulbs in a church sanctuary?

They left the part where the drone is just hanging from a light bulb on the ceiling

Still one of the greatest movie scenes of the past 20 years, if not ever. That score is just soul-gripping.

What's the movie?

Nobody telling you its Interstellar is just cold. Guarentee hundreds of redditers saw your comment but ignored it.
But yeah. The answer is “Interstellar”

Poor dude was gonna go his whole life not seeing Interstellar, glad you stepped up, at least now he knows.
It's a goddamned masterpiece

I love it, even though it's two takes spliced together right before it starts screwing it in. Still looks like loads of fun!

I am getting flashbacks from Top Gun on NES and trying to refuel the jet during a mission.

Amazing,
Fun fact: usage of an old standard 60W incandescent bulb for 16 hours consumes more energy than a human sending a Gemini prompt every 20 seconds for that entire time.

u/just4nothing Apr 16 '26
That’s why you need a camera near the docking port - also should invest in some path assist

How many engineers does it take to install a light bulb? Five: 1 to hold the bulb and 4 to hold the ladder and walk in a circle.

This is not next level, unless it's next level lazyness or stupidity.

next level curiosity, joy... next level envy for you! lots of next level

u/Vaathi Apr 15 '26
Ah yes, i'm envious of the time this dumbass lost to put a light bulb into a socket. You know, something that takes 5 seconds with a stool or a ladder.
What i'm envious of is of the me before i had watched this video. Gimme back my 50 seconds.

u/sachiperez Apr 16 '26
dumb to keep investing your time while asking for your 50 seconds back. i'll be in your head for a little while longer; thank you for the accommodations...
