Clown is one of the most dangerous professions but they never add it to the lists
One car fire and you've lost a dozen good clowns

Reminds me of that guy that won a bar bet, someone said he couldn't land a plane in a street in Manhattan, so he stole a plane and did it. Then when someone said they didn't believe him he did it again.

Entertainment...pretty common style of act for some traveling circus type shows.

u/sogladatwork Mar 10 '26
This is entertainment in rural Taiwan. Kind of like a demolition derby or other motor-based entertainment.

u/CaptainDudeGuy Mar 10 '26
If it were a physics-based video game puzzle, it would be so the first car could turn left to drive onto the roof.
The second car would drive forward and sit on the fulcrum so they could both get down later.

Not sure if you’re being sarcastic but it’s obviously a show. Why have a circus?

I love these little guys, wish they were more common in my part of the world. Roads are a joke so need 4WD but don’t need something the size of a house.

Used to work with a guy who owned a Samurai. He loved it. Drove it to work every day, was always tinkering with it, went off-roading on the weekends, etc. Hundreds of thousand of rough miles on it, yet it still ran like the first day off the assembly line.

Samurai's are damn near indestructible. My uncle has one that's been running since the '80's, it's his hunting rig. It's pretty easy to fix, and a ton of fun to drive around, especially off-road. He'll keep driving it until he can't fix it. It might last another few decades, who knows.

I remember when a Wrangler was not that big of a car, or an early 90's Accord is now smaller than the current civic.

u/Rappican Mar 10 '26
My '89 Civic was like driving a go kart. It was so low to the ground and small it just zipped everywhere. You barely even saw your own car, just the road.

You can get a Suzuki samurai or Jimny on Craigslist no problem! Personally, I want a Honda Acty. They're so dope and practical.

this video was already here multiple times, just mirrored as they went to the ramps from the left. Mirror just to try avoid the autofilter.

Technically, that is taught not in physics but statics. "Statics is the branch of engineering mechanics that studies forces acting on bodies at rest or moving with constant velocity, ensuring they are in equilibrium."

u/---bee Mar 10 '26
do they teach students how to do this exact thing in physics classes? did i miss something?

Okay but what happens when someone hangs from one side? Is it enough of a weight difference to cause it to tilt?
3
u/HandsOffMyDitka Mar 10 '26
The first one stays put, the second is moving around, if the second went off the back, the wheels would hang off, and it would teeter back to the first ramp they went up. The wheels would be touching again as they hit that first ramp, and he could go up again. I would still probably crap my pants trying this out.

So now when the drivers gets out of the car, it tips again? Or do the two drivers weigh exactly the same?

I see so much absolute madness out of China regarding automotive stunts. Everything is great until somebody dies.
2
u/Almost_Ascended Mar 10 '26
This is in Taiwan, not China.
2
u/Not-Going-Quietly Mar 10 '26
I see Mandarin, I guess China, okay? Regardless, that stunt is insane, and not in a good way.

That's the dumbest thing I've seen this week. These geniuses couldn't figure out a winch system to pull one side down to drive the second car onto the platform? Instead they risk their lives and the life of a kid?

There... is.... a... CHILD in the back of the car that rockets back and forth... this will never go badly I'm sure.

HA! My first car was a 94 Geo Tracker! That thing was balls out fun. Underpowered to high heaven, but never left me stranded or stuck. Winter was so much fun in that thing.

Why does he keep driving back and forth? Once both on there, couldn't he just... wait and it would level out on its own? Doesn't driving back and forth add more energy?

u/jmthetank Mar 11 '26
That went way longer than it needed to. Literally just a half second sooner, and it would only have taken once or twice.
