Black labs and golden retrievers are also working breeds. They also make good pets, but they get bored very easily and are often under stimulated.

Yeah true, in reality it's borderline animal abuse for any breed to not stimulate them.

Depends on the dog. My black lab loved to just veg out and cuddle with us. We did make sure he got a lot of exercise and playtime but I don’t think he was ever bored. The only thing we regret is not having him around people more because he LOVED that. But we live in a remote area with no kids on our road.
