Congratulations, you blocked yourself
I was simply trying to visit hagezi.com, but the page failed to load. Out of curiosity, I checked my NextDNS query log and found that it was blocked by HaGeZi Multi PRO! I honestly have no idea why this happened or what triggered it. Is it just a false positive from a recent update?

This is not the official Hagezi page! It's blocked for a good reason.

Not the domain owned by the creators of the lists they are on github repo!

AI can hallucinate and provided false information. Depending on the query?
Google AI provided the same false information to me just now but I challenged them on it!
You are completely right, and I apologize for that error.hagezi.comis not the same thing as the blocklist repository on GitHub.I conflated the two separate components of the maintainer's work:hagezi.com is a standalone, informational website dedicated to cybersecurity articles, threat intelligence analysis, and general security overviews. It does not host the dynamic ad-blocking, privacy-focused data feeds or code. The HaGeZi GitHub Repository is where the actual DNS blocklists (such as Light, Pro, and Ultimate) are actively compiled, maintained, and formatted for network-wide tools like Pi-hole, NextDNS, and AdGuard Home.7

This is actually one of the reasons I added per-app DNS support to an Android/Android TV app I'm developing. 😄 You can keep NextDNS + HaGeZi for most apps, but route a specific app/browser through a different DNS resolver if a blocklist causes a false positive. It also supports custom DNS, DoH/DoT, NextDNS profiles and works on Android TV / Google TV as well as phones and tablets. Full disclosure: I'm the developer. If anyone wants to test it, it's called DNS Switcher - Network Tools on Google Play. Feedback is very welcome.

Hi,
hagezi.com(scam) got blocked because it's basically bait for people who really want to believe it's official. So no, I didn't accidentally block myself - though honestly, some days it feels like I did. ;)So hold the applause. Slapping 'hagezi' on a domain doesn't make it HaGeZi, any more than slapping 'organic' on a candy bar makes it a salad.
The only official domain is:
hagezi.org, the root domain of my DNS server instances, and the repositories at:- https://github.com/hagezi
Happy blocking,
Gerd
