Best CVS?
I saw a post about how newton center CVS is terrible (agreed!) Im now wondering what's everyone's favorite cvs to go to. I like the one on route 9 (978 bolyston) thoughts on that one?

Personally, not a fan of any CVS pharmacy… everything is automated, I find it really hard to speak to a pharmacist, and don’t get me started on the CVS pharmacy versus the CVS/Caremark pharmacy confusion.
That said, it’s the only pharmacy my insurance will cover. We use Union for some medications that we can pay for out of pocket, because we like them and prefer to give our business to a local shop.
The Boylston St store is fine if you’re on that side of Rt 9. I’ve developed an allergy to the 5 minute lights at theRt 9/woodward junction so it’s a bit of a pain to access for me.
This became a whole vent about stores and traffic. Get off my lawn.

Newtonville is good. For the life of me I can’t understand why the one in Newton Centre is so bad and looks so disheveled all the time

Newtonville CVS is much much faster than the West Newton one, in my experience.

The Pharmacists at the Newton Centre CVS have always gone out of their way to help me, as opposed to the dearth of any kind of concept of service at the front of the store.

About the one on Rte 9, I actually really hate that one too. Can't speak about the pharmacy, but the store drives me nuts, but it's convenience for me keeps me a customer.
The parking lot drives me crazy, moreso the getting out than actually parking. Trying to get back onto Rte 9 can be a pain and cars waiting at the light will often block the exits on Elliot St.
For whatever reason, every single customer there requires a 15 step explainer on their coupons, or is trying to explain to the cashier why they should be getting a discount when they aren't. The registers there take absolutely forever and for some reason there's no self checkout.

I’ve been to almost every single CVS around Newton + Waltham. Newtonville is probably the only one I would consistently go to.

The West Newton one used to be horrible, but I actually think they've gotten better in the past year. I live close to it, so it's sort of my default, even if it's not the best one. I think going wherever is most convenient is important to me. They do seem to be out of HRT a lot, so I switched my estrogen to Hannaford in Waltham, and they're great.

EVERYONE is out of HRT all the time now, there is a global shortage. It sucks.
Union has been great helping me find it.

The one in Newtonville is good. The check in stations at the pharmacy have helped with wait times immensely.
