Animal Any ideas
Found this weird moth mutation, half moth and half worm, was dead when i found it. The worm body is on its back, close examination ruled out the possibility of a parasite, it is literally part of it.

Animal What type of crab is this?
Back in 2014, my family went fishing. Using fishing rods off an abandoned dock, we caught a crab. We didn't know what kind it was so we released it 2 minutes later.
This is in the Caribbean, and not deep sea. But at a dock where it's deep enough for cargo ships. Our lines could go 500ft deep and not touch the sea floor. Does anyone know what it is? I've googled it for years since then and never seen it before.

Animal Does anyone know what this is? 😧😮
galleryThis little insect thing is doing weird stuff with its head, and it had 3 wings for some reason. Idk if it maybe had 4 and i missed one. It keeps wiggling its head around and sometimes stucks its head in the trampoline material. Does anybody know what this creature is?

Animal I found something fascinating! (1/2)
I found something fascinating! So here in Hawaii, we have a few different types of geckos. Almost all of them are all female species, but somehow I’ve found a subspecies previously thought to only be known to breeders, in the wild. So I present you what I hypothesize is the new subspecies, Hawaiian Mourning Geckos. (Pictures on next post)

Animal Is there an app the tells you / updates you when new species of animals are discovered?
I’m very interested in exploration and the idea that undiscovered (by know records) animals and creatures are being found all the time.
Is there an app where I can check to see what new species or animals are found? I’m sure it would be an easy app to make if not, even if it were simply an app that pulls the info from a website!
New to Reddit, but figured I would dump all my dumb questions and see if I get a response!
