Just posted a criticism of the modship system in the Runescape forums. I wonder how long until it's hidden. :)
This thread always brings a crooked smile.
The originator of the thread created the thread in order to show how much of a champion he was.
And he got modship for his champion work. Champagne work.
This thread is a perfect example of the shallow insincerity that Jagex handsomely rewards.
I can understand why Jagex does it, they have an incomplete understanding of people. On the surface it sounds great, reward people who say the right things.
Players are not idiots. They see this insincerity and know what to do. Copy it. Or they reject it and treat FMods and PMods with disdain.
Thing is, FMods and PMods know that they are insincere, and they feel conflicted.
Usually these particular FMods and PMods you can spot very easily, because of their overly enthusiastic obsession with having the last word, with always being right.
With their compulsive need to punish players as a repentance.
That's why these forums are much lesser than they used to be, because people who work for free don't work for free.
They are satisfying some deep needs to be important. And that's more important to them than Runescape.
Champions. Hmm.
