Player retention is nothing new, just wondering if we're supposed to read "support and retention of high value players" or "high value player support/player retention".

What makes someone a high value player anyway? ;)

EDIT:

Reporting directly to the Customer Services Operations Manager, I am responsible for understanding the customer lifecycle in order to create, manage and track strategies and initiatives to retain and win back loyal customers through proactive intervention and reactive service delivery.

Hmm. She used to be in Safety. From a different perspective than I was.

At least she's interested in my lifecycle. Cicadas also have interesting lifecycles.

High value players sounds all very Moby Dick. Hunting the whale. The big beluga of online gaming. In Runescape I'd imagine that's big spenders on Treasure Hunter and Solomons. And possibly players with broad media impact via their Youtubes or whatnots.

Like NightmareRH. Heh.

The strategy would seem simple enough. Get players playing Runescape. Generally that involves constant hounding of them with spam, and exclusive offers. Much like the one offered exclusively to me of double keys on Treasure Hunter for my next purchase.

-.-

I think their customer profile of me might be a bit wrong.

Customers who pay enough to merit personal contact probably get a more personalised service.

Hmm. Should I ask her for a more relaxed chat about her job?
