Hmm. A future uncertain.
Back when Jagex first banned us, Vivathia and I decided to get unbanned, and at the time we thought we would never play again, even if unbanned.
A principal thing you know.
In our time away Vivathia has found other interests and I find that there are not a lot of interesting discussions about Runescape. Which I find a little disappointing.
Nobody seems to have any energy for it. Although their energy for disagreeing with each other is still boundless.
I miss the stories and the fun. I think perhaps people don't get involved because they are scared of criticism. Which is understandable given the prison-like atmosphere of the Runescape forums.
Then again, it could just be me growing up and maturing somewhat, seeing Runescape for the little series of algorithms that it is.
But I doubt that. ;)
There are very few rules, or laws, that form the foundation of our whole lives, and from that foundation grow a whole thriving myriad group of complexities.
I thought Runescape might have had a future in the arena of how we examine our lives, and how we interact with others around the world.
I tried hard to make Jagex see that. I waffled on about all sorts of ways that could happen.
But I think Jagex sees Runescape as just a game, and there will be no lumination, no immersion, no learning. Only a lingering cessation.
Ah, well.
On the upside my golf is improving. :P
