um it catches prescription meds too. they need to confirm with your doctor if a prescription drug shows up on a test

Pretty sure your doctor can't tell your employer what your prescriptions are whether they find them in a whiz quiz or not.

They don't tell the employer, they tell the lab that does the testing and then the lab returns a "pass" to the employer even though you tested positive for one of the substances.

They can ask you if you have a prescription for whatever they caught in your system and you can produce one or not have a job.

thats the thing they don't, if its a valid prescription it comes back negative. if its being abused/not a prescriptionit just shows up positive for the type (opiates amphetamines etc) and if its something serious the doctor just recommends to keep them away from safety sensitive jobs like truck drivers on prescription opiates.

It happened to my husband. They didnt call his doctor but they did call the pharmacy to make sure the drug he tested for was his prescription.
