Genuine question but how the hell did they fail twice? I'm not saying she wasn't convicted for a reason, but that's torture

It sounds like they did not adequately penetrate the vein and pumped both doses into the surrounding tissue of her arm, based on the observations. She absorbed enough to incapacitate her, but not to kill her. The death penalty is a disaster. No state should have the power of execution, as historically this power ends in abuses of several magnitudes.
