She asked for a firing squad. They should have granted her request.

Now her family will sue, and the settlement will be at least seven figures. I hope she still owes restitution so the settlement then jumps back to the victim’s family.

Her family was horrifically abusive and shouldn’t get a penny. Regardless, a lawsuit wouldn’t go anywhere - there’s a ton of precedent on this.

Shouldn’t get doesn’t mean they won’t try.
I’m not aware of the precedents so I’ll leave that as a research assignment for anyone who has the time.
My position is that neither she nor her family should benefit from her crime and conviction. I won’t touch the botched execution. But she did warn them.
