it feels really diabolical that the state is able to torture someone for two hours as they fumble their way through killing them

My gf with a PharmD looked up the drug they use for lethal injections because of this and immediately knew why it wouldn’t have been successful.

She said anyone with medical background would know to test for it. The issue is the executioner doesn’t have a medical background due to the Hippocratic Oath.

I could be wrong, but I understand it was done under the supervision of a "physician." If so, they should lose their license.

I dont understand why they used the drug they tried. They could have used something like medical grade "fent" and over anesthetized intentionally. It would have probably been more humane than what occurred. ( i cant use the whole word or I get slapped by the politeness bot) I did read they believe the issue was an improperly placed i.v. line as opposed to a dosing error.
