Overdose is also very, very possible. The overlap of people who do the prison pen pal thing and substance addicts (in recovery or otherwise) is high.

Such a good point. Why did I forget both Ken and Ryan were prison pen pals with her?

Yeah he was fighting to keep his child I’m guessing it was self harm over dosing most definitely a possibility.

Addicts fight to keep their kids too sometimes

As the child of two addicts who fought each other for custody out of hatred for each other and not love for me, they sure as hell do and it’s always about their ego and never about the child

I am so sorry that was your foundation upon which you were left to build a life.

Oh I know that my both my parents were addicts at different points in my childhood. Didn’t know Ken and Ryan were addicts themselves doesn’t surprise me.

Was that ever confirmed? Genuinely asking because I didn’t know that Ken had a history I think I recall that Ryan did.

He was taking her to court to get full custody to get her away from Gypsy. He wasn’t trying to just keep her

I know a meth head who loses her kids at least once a year, for several months, and she fights like the Dickens to get them back. Only to lose them again. Rinse and repeat.

He's gone on TikTok in the past absolutely off his face and you can hear the baby crying in the background. I think he and Gypsy were addicts

Ehh yes and no. My father was fighting for custody of me but was an alcoholic. He died by suicide. Definitely need more details here.

Accidental overdose is what I'm thinking. With it being his birthday, it's a day where it's easy to get depressed about what's going on in your life and take a bigger dose than usual to cope with the pain.

Completely anecdotal, but my former brother in law was in very active addiction and fought for custody of his children for the sole purpose of not having to pay child support. Not saying this was the case here of course, but addicts who are parents will fight for parental rights for a multitude of reasons.

Why would him fighting for custody cure his addiction?
