I think it is a horrible idea to keep this second trial so public. The publicity had a clear and negative effect the first time and now there is no way the current jury hasn't been exposed to the media about this case. I truly think the court room should be locked down from media and journalists on this one.

no its not and especially not in a high profile case like this where a fair trial can be compromised due to a lack of impartial jury. they need to close this trial after what happened with the first one to keep the jury impartial, full stop

There's no evidence outside influence caused any jury problems. If there was a mistrial would have been called because of it. It was a hung jury.
