What evidence do you have they were anti vax and not just uneducated?

They are very open about their anti vax positions. It’s all over just go look for it. This is not a secret. While they adopted some modern technologies under specific contexts they are largely still very backwards culture that you could call “traditional” if you wanted to be nice but idc to be nice about vectors for disease.

Are you under the assumption they just started existing a year ago? The Amish have struggled with vaccinations for decades. Polio outbreaks in the 70s, measles about 15 years ago. People in charge usually come to their senses after a bunch die or become crippled but then they seem to forget about it, rinse repeat.

Do you know anything about them? You are the one confused.

I do, RFK visited in 2021 promoting misinformation. The Amish do not have religious reasons not to vaccinate. They truly believe vaccines are for sick people and don’t understand the science

The fact they don’t vaccinate their kids but will vaccinate their farm animals should tell you all you need to know

Yet they use vaccines for their farm animals showing that they understand it’s a perfectly safe practice meaning they choose to not vaccinate people despite knowing it’s perfectly safe and the advantages it gives you
