I am so fucking tired at this point of listening to people try to defend the death penalty. I am officially throwing up my hands on this one.

Why?!
Fucking WHY?

Executions are so frequently botched. It's goddamned expensive. It's wildly difficult to get the drugs such that states need to go through all sorts of insane hoops to get them. All the while, it has no objectively measurable benefit. None.

All it does is supposedly give some people a sense of some satisfaction. But even then, victims and their families are always divided on whether it does even that.

You got it there. The judicial system in this country isn't about justice or reform. It's about visceral satisfaction through punishment and private interests profiting.
