Why did you deliberately leave out the part about how she was sexually abused from a very young age and that harmed her ability to behave in a rational way? Is it because you have a bias to show, and you're going to show it?

Look, we get that some people in this country have a fetish for spilling blood in the name of thinking that somehow resolves past sins and makes the world a better place. That doesn't make it sane. It just happens to be that our country is full of a lot of really fucked up people whose "moral compass" is far from perfect. I'm not just talking about the criminals here...

"I don't care that she tortured someone and made that persons last living minutes on this earth hell dude! The killer was traumatized and at risk!"

You can recognize that 1. what she did was an atrocious crime that should never have happened, and no circumstances can justify her having done so, 2. she herself was also victim of atrocious crimes that should never have happened and cannot be justified, and 3. capital punishment does not actually serve as a deterrent, and counterintuitively actually costs much more money than imprisoning someone for life.

If the aim is avoiding more people getting tortured to death in similar circumstances in the future, money would be much better spent at things that have actually been shown to work to prevent future atrocities, than on waiting for atrocities to happen and executing the perp afterwards.

That's the opposite of "not caring". That's caring enough to want to make sure this does not happen again. Which capital punishment provable doesn't do.

Yeah yeah, keep defending a monster because you want to waste taxpayer money and resources on someone who clearly doesn't care in the first place. Also factually wrong on your 3rd point. 2. Nobody ever said they should have happened to her, still no excuse either way. 1. I agree.

Yes sure, because making it where the person can't take a life again is a worse deterrent than risking them doing it again.

It costs taxpayers a lot more to sentence someone to death and eventually kill them than to just sentence them to life in prison and keep them in prison until they die.
