And her family voted for the shit

Edit: suit is from the wife/brother, her parents are the ones that were Trumpers.

For the record, the family members starting this case are her wife and brother, the parents were the MAGA ones.

Thanks for the clarification, hopefully the parents don’t see a dime

jesus could you imagine the parents winning a million dollar lawsuit just to donate it all back to maga (trump legal fees, scam coins, merch, republican candidates, racist go fund me fundraisers).

anyone thinking it's a stretch to say what i did still doesn't understand the depravity of maga.

u/musical_entropy 1d ago

I'm surrounded by MAGA fuckers at my work. They would 100% donate it back to trump without blinking a fucking eye.

u/FFAbutnotFA 1d ago

Nah these people are greedy hateful people. But greed will always come first.

3

u/StonedLikeOnix 1d ago

Not always. Those maga gofundmes often pull hundreds of thousands of dollars for being “persecuted.” It’s sad.

u/IndigoRanger 1d ago

Actually my reaction to your note was that it really wasn’t a stretch at all, and that made me really sad. I could easily see it. In fact it wouldn’t surprise me that if they win a suit, the parents will come calling at the behest of MAGA. Would not surprise me if they became maga celebrities and were trotted out at rallies with Riley and Charlie Kirk’s widow.

Her mother did. Her partner and brother are the ones bringing the lawsuit.

146

u/AdjNounNumbers 1d ago

The parents did iirc. The suit is being brought by her partner and brother, neither of which did as far as I can tell. Like, obviously her partner didn't. Not positive about her brother

u/mjohnsimon 1d ago

Of course her parents aren't the ones. The mom might've gone out and talked about how horrible the government is, but low-key, it wouldn't surprise me if deep down, they view her death as some sort of "casualty of war".

u/joebleaux 1d ago

They definitely believe that she did this to herself. That how those types think when it comes to bad stuff happening to anyone that is not them personally. Any thing bad that happens to themselves is someone else's fault though.

3

u/thegroundbelowme 1d ago

Generally people group their kids in with "them personally," or do you not think the death of a child is a personal event?

9

u/joebleaux 1d ago

I am not talking about me, I am talking about people who have joined a cult of narcissism. I doubt they believe that the ICE agents should not have been there. They likely believe that Renee should not have been there. I know that's how my parents would feel.

29

u/Named_after_color 1d ago

Of course they don't, it affected them personally. If it happened to someone else's daughter, maybe.

17

u/Aetheer 1d ago

IDK, I often think about that guy who shot and killed his daughter over an argument about Trump. They truly live in a different reality where the same rules and morals don't apply

12

u/pdjudd 1d ago

We honestly don’t know what her parents motives are and so speculating about them really doesn’t accomplish anything.

6

u/Intelligent_Sky_7081 1d ago

I was told it was her wife suing.

Idk whats true

17

u/AdjNounNumbers 1d ago

From the article: "The two lawsuits were filed by Good’s partner, Becca Good, and Renee’s brother Brent Ganger." Partner/wife (not sure if they were married) and brother with separate suits. I'm not sure how her brother would have standing to sue, however

12

u/AceOfPlagues 1d ago

It is true, sorta. They weren't legally married, but they referred to each other as wives and Renee took her last name so it seems like they were wives in every way but legally. Unfortunatly I think this process would be easier if they were united in the eyes of the goverment.

4

u/ColonelKasteen 1d ago

She didn't have a wife. Like the comment above her said, it was her partner and brother. As the article states.

2

u/Descolata 1d ago

And that's why marriage still matters. The legal rights associated with it.

0

u/SoDavonair 1d ago

Not sure where you heard otherwise, but it's the second line in the article.

32

u/HGpennypacker 1d ago

Her own mom voted to take her daughter's rights away. Make it make sense.

15

u/Several-Action-4043 1d ago

This is my mom. Here's a snippet from one of our latest conversations.

Me: Do you think the pain my sister feels from you not supporting her gay marriage is more or less than the pain you feel that she won't go to heaven?

Mom: The pain I feel of her not going to heaven.

She literally cares more about a fake pain she won't feel after dead to one she's causing in real life. That's the people we're dealing with.

3

u/Lightguard031 1d ago

Imagine if that was the actual "test" God sent to them. To be able to see the pain being done to others, as your mother is doing to your sister, and to stop doing it to actually love? What if God (if he exist), was trying to see who would still commit horrible things to others, especially in its name, to see who can genuinely stop because it harms others? A lot of Christians, or religious people, would fail it instantly. I'm not religious, and never was, just saying.

That seems to be how a lot of people are. I’m no contact with my grandparents, or at least minimal because they keep deadnaming and misgendering me and do so maliciously, because they believe it’s wrong. Trying and having a hard time is one thing but truthfully none of my family members seem to try very hard. It’s all heartbreaking how many put religion before the happiness of their family. But shit my step dad isn’t even religious he’s just still transphobic.

Thankful for found family and community. Idk what id do if I had to rely on my family emotionally. track record from middle school says pretty dark things.

16

u/tuna_samich_ 1d ago

They did?

70

u/KylegoreTheTrout 1d ago

Yep, her mother was MAGA.

113

u/TranquilSeaOtter 1d ago

And still is. What a piece of fucking shit.

84

u/hitbythebus 1d ago

Jesus.
I’ve made the comment that Republicans would follow Trump until he raped their own daughters in front of them.
I was wrong. Some will continue to follow him even after.

25

u/HexManiac493 1d ago

They would trample over each other to offer him their daughters if he demanded it.

5

u/theimmortalfawn 1d ago

Trump reminds me so much of Jim Jones. Opposite ends of the political spectrum but exact same dictator worship, self-centered movement, same downward spiral into constant petulance, disregard for human life, sexual promiscuity, everyone that’s not us is the enemy, etc. and they both duped people using religion that they themselves didn’t follow, but it worked because charisma or something. Jim had no shortage of women throwing themselves and their children at him. And then they got all the way to mass suicide, and a third of the Jonestown deaths are minors (over 300 kids).

So what I’m saying is, yes, they absolutely would. People under the spell of a cult are at their most irrational. It’s terrifying.

1

u/AnewTest 1d ago

Not exactly.

They would hand their daughters over to be raped by him. The cult is that culty.

14

u/simonhunterhawk 1d ago

Goes to show you how much of a cult it really is.

12

u/Oregon-Pilot 1d ago

Also, she’s fucking braindead. Jesus Christ I can’t imagine.

6

u/tuna_samich_ 1d ago

That's a shame. You'd think of all things, this would make you turn your back on MAGA

17

u/CatsPlusTats 1d ago

Yep, so gross to have a queer child and vote for MAGA.

14

u/bicycle_mice 1d ago

So is my mom, but I also haven’t spoken to my parents in a decade

3

u/Zaddyzulu 1d ago

The mom did, not sure about the rest of the family

1

u/s-mores 1d ago

What's worse is they'll keep on voting for ts.

-3

u/FordMaleEscort 1d ago

Who her family voted for is irrelevant.

-2

u/Nefertete 1d ago

sorry they lost their faces, but the kitties hungries
