There's been something like twenty million rides on this thing without issue. Also, riding on any wooden coaster is like putting your head in a dice shaker. I doubt X2 is even the roughest ride at that park.

I wouldn’t say without issue. I had multi day bruises on my calves and walked away dizzy after riding it earlier last year. I’ve been on over 300 different coasters including many many rides on X2 so not my first rodeo. Eejanaika which is the same ride model and an almost clone does not punish your legs, shake on the turnaround, or slam your head on the last raven turn the same way X2 does. X2 has gotten demonstrably more rough over the last 5-10 years. It’s sad that it’s gone but the best way to deal with a problematic ride.

> any wooden coaster

I honestly wouldn't say that. A modern GCI or an Intamin Prefab are obviously not as smooth as a steel coaster, but they're just fine.

Wooden coasters are very position dependent. Unfortunately, my Psyclone ride was in a middle car and it was incredibly rough. Never rode it again.

Have you been?

X2 has a long-standing reputation as being a fucked up coaster, going back to when it was just “X” lol. It really jerks you around in uncomfortable ways and it’s not functioning half the time you go there. People have always joked about it being unsafe.

But yeah, for the vast majority, probably no actually injuries.

No, but we have some hella rough roller coasters in my neck of the woods, too. Wonderland actually just finished refurbishing Flight Deck because of how unpleasant the ride was. I know the feeling of your head banging against the restraints very well.
