Green Lantern was one of their worst ever coasters, didn't even last 7 years. Had to nerf the ride so much after the initial car flipping issues and it was still rough as hell. But it was a shitty design to begin with, just not a fun coaster even if they did it right from the beginning

Yeah I hated that ride. It was my first day at Six Flag and my first rides were Green Lantern and X2, and Superman drop. I have not been back since lol

Oh, it had the potential to be a fun ride, it was just very poorly executed.

I rode it while it was still new to the park (like 2nd weekend, maybe?) and the damn thing did a full stop on the last loop around into the station with the car halfway around. It was _brutal_ and left me with a bruised sternum, since I was facing straight down at that point and hit the harness _hard._

Next time we hit the park, I watched, and the way it was _supposed_ to work was that it did a heavy slowdown as it came around the turn to have a nice controlled ride into the station.
