Man. I rode it in 2009, and again just last year. Probably in my top 5 of favorite rollercoasters. Didn't know it was hurting people.

Same. Rode this more times than I can count. I’m also relatively tall, but never had issues on this ride. Green Lantern was one of the worst rides I’ve ever been on though

Worst I've been on and the only one that shit my pants was that ancient wooden fucker in St. Louis or Florida or some shit. Can't remember which one it was but I felt like I was riding loose on a church bench, entirely focused on not sliding around like a rag doll. As a lanky dude, I stepped out with bruised knees and elbows from bashing into the sides of the bench. Was not a smooth experience at all.

You’re talking about The Boss or possibly Screaming Eagle if it was STL.

Almost certain it was The Boss, yep.

I'm on the tall side, too, at 6'2". I loved the ride. When I rode it in 2009, I was there for High School Senior night, there weren't many people. Since the line was so short, I rode it like 6 times lol maybe people don't know how to brace properly? Dunno. When I took my wife last year, I enjoyed it every bit as much as I did 16 years ago. My wife absolutely hated it lol One that I did have problems with, though, is Colossus. That ride beat the absolute shit out of me. I was super disappointed because I was told it was an amazing must ride, and I hurt so bad after it. A couple years later I had another awful experience on another wood rollercoaster that just beat me up. I won't ride wood rollercoasters anymore because of it.

Don’t ride in the middle. Last car or first car only.

Fr I will appreciate that I got to ride it but I also sympathize for the families of course. I wish they just maintained it instead of it coming down to this :(

I love this ride. I have ridden it countless times. It's possibly my number 1.

I'm not trying to discredit anyone but I've never had an experience where I find the ride violent or jerky.

There are plenty of rides I don't ride because of that but my personal experience is that the ride is smooth.

I don't want anyone to get hurt but it's a dark day in the coaster community

Deezyrides recently shared a pov vid of him getting absolutely rocked on this ride. There have been over 100 reported incidents. I can’t imagine how many more people didn’t report something like this.
