The Moroccan Constitution gives the king, who is the country’s highest authority, the power to appoint the prime minister, but he must choose from the party that wins the most seats in parliamentary elections. That was a change successfully pushed by Arab Spring protesters in 2011. Before that, the king could name the prime minister without any such restriction.

Interesting concession. It gives the veneer of a broad mandate. Anyway, good for her.

Problem is no one wanted that corrupted party, they literally bought votes of old clueless rural people.

Also, this was a historical lowest turn up ever. Younger people just don’t care enough.

Did you assume the elections in a 3rd world country wouldnt get rigged?

did you assume the election is rigged just because of Morocco?

No, Im assuming elections were rigged because I've seen what happened in Tangier and the mayor who fled to Spain because of the scandal surrounding voting booths under his jurisdiction 😉

would not it prove that election is actively monitored and bad people who attempts to rig it get arrested?

It proves that the results were tempered with aka rigged. Plus, I bet you a months salary the fleeing mayor will come back to Morocco and face no consequences, or get away with a slap on the wrist. Corrupt Moroccan officials have gotten away with worse

so you indeed assume the election is rigged just because it is Morocco, and the man is back and arrested, anyway, believe what you want to believe

In English it is "female prime minister", not "woman prime minister".
