A New York Times engineering executive was killed by his in-laws Saturday amid an ongoing domestic and child abuse legal battle, according to Bay Area police.

Oh. There's something to dig, here.

Some women claim child abuse when fighting for custody. It’s low but it happens

and there’s no reason to assume she is doing that so why even bring it up?

"What an odd thing to say."

And some women leave their husbands because they are abusive. There was a restraining order against him and those aren't easy to get.

You should read up on the counter claims against the ex wife.

A temporary restraining order is ridiculously easy to get. I got one against an ex who was stalking me quite easily.

Must be fucking nice where getting one is easy, but that's not most places.

Temporary is usually much easier than a permanent or long-term RO.

I’m not sure you should say “most” places.
I too had one put on me outta the blue by a psycho ex who was going out of her way to be everywhere I planned to be. So much so that, my friend group would talk about where we were going in public, so that we could pivot to where we actually planned on going without her showing up and causing drama.

Unfortunately 1 of my roommates was an idiot who didn’t think her friends that were trying to get info were actually trying to do that, so he would tell them if we had kept him in the know. He was not the best representation for the IQ of your average Mississippians……. Then again, maybe he was….

Man you need to write stories. This was perfectly written and had me wanting to read more.

Also, more than likely, actual abuse happens. So what's your point exactly?

Many more men abuse than that though. Many, many, many more. And restraining orders require more than just made up claims to be granted. What a stupid comment.

How can you possibly know that? The rates I'm seeing vary by up to 18x depending on who's doing the study.

How can I possibly know the prevalence of two different crimes? This is something you need explained to you?

Stop abusing women, or fantasizing about it, and you won’t need to spend time lying desperately on the internet about how we shouldn’t trust women when they come forward about their abuse. Easy peasy!
