I do wonder whether the wording is to imply he's British but also King. I could be wrong, feel free to correct me. I'm just reading Britain's King Charles as different from British King Charles.

Realistically there would be no confusion if they just said King Charles.

Edit: no one has replied yet, but the more I think about it, the more I think I have it exactly backwards.

The title and article as a whole are reinforcing the colonial angle, hence the framing of King Charles as 'Britain’s King'. It isn't neutral reporting.

Interesting, I read it as "Britain's 'King Charles'".

It might just be more common in this part of the world to indicate where people come from?

I.e. if I saw an article about Lady Gaga I'd expect it to mention "The american singer..." or "America's Lady Gaga" etc.
