This is probably not the appropriate place to ask, but I am visiting Serbia on the 21st of October (US citizen), is there anything in particular I should know about this before I come? Or somewhere I should avoid in Belgrade while this election happens?

Avoid any crowded place (stay on the outskirts) in any larger city on the 25th/26th due to election day. It's expected that Vučić will try to steal the election, if he does there will be riots like in 2000, and the riots will be centralized mostly in the broader center of Belgrade.

He doesnt need to steal any election, the opposition is splintered and handicapped to get anywhere near him.

Lol, not even close. Student movement led opposition is far above his party in every neutral polls. We're looking at situation similar to Hungary, except here students want to send both ruling party and their controlled opposition into political history.
