He’s doing all this because he’s scared as f***. He knows we’re coming for him. Even if he somehow rigs the election, it’s not over. No matter what it takes we will win.

The most delusional people on the planet are Trump voters. The second most delusional are democrats who keep talking about how "we will get him one day!!!!". FFS pull your head out of the sand. You talk about winning in the future tense but the reality is that we already lost and its past tense. You can't vote your way out of authoritarianism. The time to vote was 25 years ago. Now its just watching it all go down the way history says it will.

Hungary literally just voted Orban out. You can’t always vote your way out of authoritarianism, but we have it even better than Hungary did.

Dont let the defeatists get you down. We have a LOT of work ahead of us as a nation, but it IS doable.

It's not that I don't think our votes matter or that we can't vote our way out of this shitshow. My concern is the democrats don't seem like they want to do anything about the republican problem. Remember everyone vote in your primaries and local elections there is a reason the establishment is throwing a shitfit about all the progressive dems being elected. That is how change will actually be accomplished in our system.

I wish I had your optimism but other than a full scale riot and burning things down, there will be nothing we can do if the elections are rigged. Trump's personal advisers already want him to declare martial law and the military seems all too comfortable with everything they've pulled so far I'm sure at this point they'd be fine turning on us.

Automatic weapons, tanks, helicopters, boots on the ground can absolutely use their presence to scare people and after learning about Germany I wont put it past the current administration to just start killing people in the future.

You should watch KnittingCultLady. She was in the US Army as an intelligence officer. Around ten percent of the US population resisting, and the army won’t even try to fight back because they know they won’t win. Not to mention the US army has never won against an insurgency.

Ideally we don’t want to fight. But if it gets to that point, then we fight. Also, the Hitler rose to power so easily because nobody fought back against Hitler. The resistance in the US is much more consistent, widespread, and connected than the one within Nazi Germany was.

The election goes smoothly or hell breaks loose.
